Clyde Gets A Job
My neighbor is being a jerk about my dogs so I have to move a couple of them out. I decided to donate Clyde to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office in Utah. He has been all trained up for a while now and really needed a job. He will be happier riding around in a SUV than doing demos for me so it’s all good. I was hoping to sell him, God knows I could use the money, but butt-head forced the issue along. I can only hope for KARMA.
Clyde was my first passive alert dog using the On Target method and his oral response is the stuff legends are made of. He bumps the front of the box with a death stare and slams the back of the box to get you to pull the line on the tennis ball. Watch the video to see what I mean. While he is a bit of a PITA around other male dogs, he is a sweetheart with people and loves everyone. He’ll make a perfect D.A.R.E. demo dog. I know he’ll be well taken care of. The guys from Davis County are top of the line K9 handlers and truly love their dogs. I couldn’t ask for him to go to a better department.
We’ll miss you Clyde, but I’ll always be keeping an eye on you. Make some good busts, find a couple lost kids. Have a great time. I’ll see you again soon for some tune-up training.
