Laying a Track For HomeI’m back in Washington again. Alpha K9 and Forest Top are working through some tough issues and everyone is having a bit of a hard time dealing with it. I have a family to take care of so they take priority and off I go. Not sure exactly what happened, probably never will, but life goes on.

I met some great people while I was in Nebraska. I enjoyed my time there and wish everyone well. Many thanks to Mark who went out of his way to make me feel at home and even more important to get me out and about the area. Mark and his family took Celine and me out to dinner many times to get us out of the training center. Even cooler, his whole family took us to the zoo and gave us a grand tour of the place. It was the only day off I had in months of being there and I will never forget it.

I still had lots of work to do with many of the dogs, I can only hope they will be OK and finish their training. I had been working with sheriff’s from Nebraska and Iowa on a regular basis to improve their dog’s bitework. Don’t give up guys, you have great dogs and with a little more effort and time they will get better and better. Jay, I look forward to seeing you soon and getting back on the ground with your dog to see what you have done.

I’m off to go track my dogs and the work the drug dogs on the oral game. I have to teach Sky the oral game this week to finish her explosive training. Off to the store for some pyrodex or smokeless powder.
