Tea gets some love after a session on the boxes

Cass County came by today to work their dogs on the boxes with narcotics. This is a great thing for both of us. They get to use the boxes and have me work their dogs and we get to use their training aids.

It’s very important to either cycle out or train with known good aids from another department. The dogs get used to “their” training aids and need to work with other slightly different smelling aids.

Even better Celine added heroin and meth to one of her dogs Tea. She only has to add cocaine and the dog will have all four odors. Celine will be the only high school student with her own drug dog, that should make her popular.

She is working so hard down here, up at 7:00, cleaning kennels till noon and then training dogs until 5:00. We still have to button up every night around 8:00, but that only takes half an hour or so. She never complains, just puts her head down and gets it done.

Mark the sheriff from Cass County is going to take us to the Omaha Zoo Sunday. If we are lucky he has a friend who is a big donor and we will get to see what happens behind the scenes. Celine is jazzed about that. I’ll post it along with some pictures when we get back.
